it doesnt take talent to spam the MT clinch. its prolly by far the most dominate standup position in the game and its one of the easiest things to do.

| You can't hold back on the RS? You can't punch or kick them before they get the muay thai clinch? You can't stay out of clinch range? it's many things to do to avoid it. | |

- I understand what you're saying admin. You have to realize Boxing / Wrestling isn't the best combination like it used to be. That's what infinite primarily used, and to me it's the 3rd best style. But in all honesty Muay Thai / BJJ trumps it. Then Muay Thai Wrestler trumps it.
Infinite game was no where near the level of people like for instance,
Timao, UFC_Champ_1, ChampionBreed, Nissasi, ILFC. He is no where near them. ILFC and champbreed both lost to Infinite here I believe, I think he took wrestling to a whole other level most people you are right would get dominated but that guy was the best wrestler Ive ever seen or heard of he only had one match here that was close and that was his last match in the league that he lost to Oscar. In my opinion any style can easily trump another if the person knows all the ins and outs to every style in the game and how to defend against it. When Ricta and Nissai first joined it looked as though both would be gatekeepers for new guys to get an easy win and now both of them are a million times better and title contenders. I do think you are right though in that not as many people use the boxing/wrestling which I suppose has evolved the game some in a matter of speaking. Good retort.

| Yeah I understand that. But honestly no lol Infinite was no where near the best wrestler though lol. When I remember playing him and this was back when I first joined, and when I was primarily boxer / wrestler, and reversed a little bit less.
From what I remembered playing him in ladder, and sparring. Matches weren't that close at all, but people now like championbreed or Timao or UFC_Champ Can come at least close or beat me sometimes.
From what I remembered OC is better then him, and Kongo is better than him because Kongo submission is good, and he can tap you from red sometimes.

| Bottom line is the league weas way bigger and had far more people who played the game for many hours on a daily basis, thus making the talent pool much larger ... some guys cant stick w/ one game or one league for a whole year ...
spamming mt is not an "evolved" method, its simply the preferred method for those who want a easy win these days ... its been around since the beginning but most guys didnt abuse it like y'all do now ...
but to each their own, thats why we all have our own styles and i will be a boxer/wrestler til its all over, i dont care how easy it is to mt spam somebody i'll stick with slams & GnP ...

has nothing to do with who you think you can beat and everything to do with who you have beat, its like college you win you move up, you lose you drop a few notches

| Arizona the thing is you know you can't that's why you refuse to. This just shows you backing out of a challenge yet again. If it's so easy to "spam MT Clinch" and win why don't you play me with a MT Fighter and see if you win.
Sick of you now, your whole persona is talk shit and don't back it up at all.

| I agree with both Devin and Arizona in a way. MT is the best style at each level of growth in striking because you can hold somebody in a clinch forever and land cheap strikes when you are a novice playing a novice. Also the quick knees to the body and the fast short elbows, plus feints and headkicks at the top end of the talent level are also amazing. I can't do the feints, lol. Can't figure it out. Devin, UFC_Champ, and TimaoBJJ beat me using MT without ever even clinching me. So it isn't even the clinch they need.
So yes, I think some people win fights they shouldn't by spamming MT clinch. However, when you fight top guys you can't just spam MT clinch because the step dodge out of reach and counter you in the head. I can't even get the MT clinch on some guys. Plus people that are fast enough to flick out of the MT clinch during a whip even if I get it on they can reverse every single whip. I think MT/Wrestling is just as good as MT/BJJ if executed well.

| That's the thing those happen in clinch range? Zona really doesn't know how to play at all. From what I used to play him before he started saying "No thanks" when I wanted to play him. He basically tries to take you down failed most of the time, then he'll try to slam. Then without throwing a punch just hold back on RS. To stop that just punch him because I know how to punch and reverse at same time.
He won't play me with a MT fighter because he knows damn well he won't win. If I go completely serious on Zona the fight most likely won't make it past the 1st or within 2 min of the 2nd. But we'll see his next post with absolutely nothing "Faggot" "Bitch" some more cussing words etc. with him trying to decline the match since "MT" Is so "easy"
