| I have kinda an idea about this:
1) Fights must be Wrestler vs BJJ Fighter.
2) The higher seed chooses if he uses wrestling or BJJ.
3) And here's why I think it should be Wrestling vs BJJ: Since this will be about who gets the takedown first, why not do it with the match starting from Open Guard (Down) (Neutral Position), with the wrestler being on top (Knowing the BJJ fighter can use the Rubber Guard and work from his back)?
Thoughts about this? | |

| Ok, so at least one BJJ guy, so he could do something from his back and the higher seed chooses if he wants to be on top or not. If one uses a wrestler, the wrestler HAS to be on top. Thoughts? | |

| Well, I'm saying all this because of that... If the wrestler uses a Slam from Double Underhooks right at the beginning of each round, he can get a good advantage. And I think it should be decided who gets the takedown and stays on top... Of course, Wrestlers could do the Slam to Posture Up, BJJ guys use the Rubber Guard, or if someone wants Judo with Karo/Nakamura (Not Likely), Judoka's sweep from Guard Bottom to Side Control. And why a wrestler must start from top? Because wrestlers are turtles on their back. So I think this tournament will be kinda chaotic... | |

| I think no standing slams, only straight takedowns. This is a ground tournament, any damaging attacks need to be done from the ground.
As to agreeing to start with one person on top and the other on their back I think is a bad idea as it would give one fighter an unfair advantage. | |

| I say everything goes except: - No kicks, punches or clinch attacks standings. Everything else is legal. Slams, reversals, stand back up, grapple, GnP, etc. As long as damaging attacks come from the ground. Kicks from down position would be OK but not punches or kicks from UP as you are standing. The step punch could be accepted as you are mid-air to land it, so you are technically NOT standing. I hope everyone who wish to do it can agree on a set of rules. | |
