since at least for now my fist opp is matt serra i wanna know what the deal with the omaplata is since i just found out serra had it having it spammed on me in ranked. they can pull gaurd breaking your clinch even if you reverse and if you dont they can just omaplata you into an immediate standup thats a loss of position that you can do 0 about. im not saying anyone is gonna cehat but i def wanna know the rules for it.

^^^ Yes please there are a couple issue rules committee needs to address ... the omoplata is one of them, start/stopping any sub to reset tranny count should def be addressed i dunno if same rule as last year will work tho but we already have felow OFC guys doing start/stop glitch on each other in ranked, pretty lame imo.

I'm not calling out names but If u know you're fighting fellow ofc ya should prob avoid glitches it makes you look bitchy, even if its not an OFC fight.

i dont know about the omaplata guys - i throw it when ever i can, but almost always with the intention of getting the sub - i even transition it to the armbar and then the triangle if i need too

but if i throw it and i dont get it, i have to cancel it out like i would any other sub that im not getting - im not going to gas myself trying not to piss my opponent off

i agree the omaplata is a cheap way to get back to the feet but i throw over 9000 sub attempts per fight

the fact that that is one of em shouldnt count against me - should i have to sit there in guard not attempting subs because if i dont get it you feel like im cheating??

Well, there are ways around it all, I mean, sometimes I shoot a takedown, just to get out of someones clinch, but as far as pulling guard from clinch, that’s the same as the other game, I used to pull guard from clinch to get my opponent to the ground, it’s the same, you have to be blocking to stop it.. Nothing difficult about that. The omaplata thing could get real annoying, .. Butits hard to make a rule on that, say your opponent has half stamina, you go for an omaplata and don’t get it, they are gonna get on here saying that you were spamming it.. I mean, grabing someones leg when they are standing above you, ppl are going to complain about that, but I don’t see anything wrong with it, as long as ppl are going through with their subs, it should be fine. (I don’t know how this years sub start/stop recount works).. But what I think should be a concern is, ppl not shinning trying to get others to waste their stamina. If you put on a sub, you have to shine, cant wait for them to drain then switch and try and tap them, I think that’s crap.
